Transport
Some of our children are brought to school by their parents; however the majority come on home to school transport. For us this consists of a fleet of mini buses provided by the Local Authority and managed by the City's Children and Young People’s Travel Service.
All the buses have at least one pupil guide for the children, depending on the needs of the students.
The mini buses carry between four and eight students. All wheelchairs are securely fastened with wheelchair clamps.
As our children come from all areas of Birmingham the logistics of this are extremely complicated and when new pupils are admitted it does sometimes cause changes to the routes, which are unavoidable.
You can contact Birmingham Children and Young People’s Travel Service on 0121 303 4955. This service also deal with applications for home/school transport. The Children and Young People’s Travel Service opening hours are: 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
