Queens Award

Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

 

Friends of Victoria received the Queens Award for Voluntary Services in June 2009. This is a very prestigious Award equivalent to an MBE for individuals. We are very honoured to have received the award.

 

Judith Gibbons, the then Chair of Friends, Jim Kane, the then Headteacher, and two long serving volunteers in the school, Matt Yates and Hazel Avon, visited a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in 2009 in recognition of receiving the award.

 

We now proudly display the Queens Award Logo on all Friends of Victoria stationary.
