Wheelchair Clinic
We hold a Birmingham Wheelchair Services Clinic in school one day a month, the clinicians involved are an Occupational Therapist and a Rehabilitation Engineer from Birmingham Wheelchair Service and a member of our Physio team.
The children’s mobility equipment is reviewed in this clinic. Children will be measured for a new buggy or wheelchair and may have supportive seating measured to go into their mobility equipment, if required. New equipment will be supplied in this clinic too.
On occasions it is necessary for families to take their children to West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre in Selly Oak to be measured for specialist seating. This seating will be supplied in school at a later date.
A weekly wheelchair repair clinic (for non-urgent repairs) is held in school each Wednesday, the repair company are Ross Care.
For urgent repairs families need to contact Ross Care directly on Tel 0121 328.
