Victoria School has been awarded the Music Mark Award by Services for Education for the THIRD year in a row!

It’s recognition of how we embrace music in our classrooms & extra curricular activities, from the Ukulele and Percussion/Beat clubs to Sing & Sign sessions. Thank you to everyone in school who supports such amazing opportunities for our students!

School Re-Opens Tues 8th October

Dear all,

We are pleased to confirm that the school is OPEN to all students from Tuesday 8th October. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school. The class teams have been working hard today to ensure that the classrooms and learning spaces are ready for the students.

All phone lines are now open, so if you have any questions then please feel free to contact the school in the usual way.

Post Flood Update Letter - 04.10.24

Hi all,

We are still planning for all students to return on Tuesday 8th October and transport have been informed to collect any children on an allocated route.

All staff will be on site on Monday, so if you have ay questions before your child returns, then please do call the school.

Update - School Closed Until Tuesday 8th October 2024

Dear all,

We have been working very hard to ensure that the site is in the best possible condition for our students to return safely.

Unfortunately, we have had to delay the re-opening to all students until Tuesday 8th October. The deep clean needed has been significant and will require some additional time to complete, including to the equipment and site. We are also still working with the mechanics to ensure that the boiler is up and running.

I apologise that this has resulted in an extra day's home learning, but appreciate the support and your understanding during what has been a very challenging time for the school. We will ensure that the teachers and staff team provide an additional day of home learning for your child to access.

If you have any questions, then you can contact your child's teacher or a member of the leadership team.

I will be in contact again in the coming days with any further updates.

Home Learning - Now Ready

Each class group now has a home learning page setup and ready to use. These pages are full of lots of learning activities for your child to engage with during this week's school closure.

You will find a class page next to each star - so please choose the class that your child is currently working in. If you are unsure, please contact the school and we can inform you of their group.

Please note the abbreviations for Upper School:

ODY = Odyssey Classes

VOY = Voyage Class

QUE = Quest Classes

School Remains Closed - Monday 30th Sept to Friday 4th Oct

We can confirm that we will remain closed to all students this week. We hope to re-open to all students on Monday 7th October 2024. We will be in contact with all families this week.

Home learning is available on the school's website.

School Closed - Monday 30th September and Tuesday 1st October 2024

Dear all,

Thank you for your support and kind offers of help, following the flood yesterday. Unfortunately, the school site is still badly damaged and there is a lot of dirt and water and we do not have electricity in half of the school.

For this reason, we have had to make the difficult decision to CLOSE to students on Monday 30th September AND Tuesday 1st October. We are meeting with different agencies on Monday morning to look at a recovery plan and we hope to be able to update you all on the next steps early next week.

We currently have no phone lines on site (due to the electricity damage) and so please email enquiry@victoria.bham.sch.uk with any questions or issues. You can find the safeguarding leads mobile numbers on the school website (on Safeguarding pages).

We are all so upset with the damage to the classrooms and the impact that the closure has on our students and families. We are working hard to try and get a safe solution in place as soon as possible.
